Sanctums

The temple was designed on the architectural basis of the more elaborate Yajnaculture of Treta Yuga. The architecture of the three sanctums are in shape like a Kundam. That means it was meant to do sacrifices inside during the Yajnaculture. Each of the sanctum is different.

The 3 deities

The most ancient deity here is Lord Vishnu. Later Sri Garuda brought a Shivalingam and placed it at the spot of Kundam at the Southwest direction of the temple. And than again later Advaita Paramacharya Sri Shankaracharya Swamy came on this path during his spiritual journey. Pleased by seeing the shrines, he installed Shankara Narayana Murthy in the middle of Shankara and Narayana, the embodiment of Advaita Siddhanta.
